Overview

TradingEdge Journal is designed with your privacy as the top priority. All of your trading data remains on your device, and we do not collect, transmit, or store any personal information on external servers.

Data Storage

All data you create in TradingEdge Journal—including trades, journals, screenshots, videos, playbook entries, and daily sessions—is stored locally on your Mac. Nothing is uploaded to our servers or any third-party services.

AI Features

TradingEdge Journal offers optional AI-powered analysis using Ollama, which runs entirely on your local machine. When you use AI features:

• All processing happens on your device
• No data is sent to external servers
• You maintain complete control over your AI models and data

The AI features are completely optional and require you to install and configure Ollama separately.

Network Usage

TradingEdge Journal only uses network access to communicate with your locally-running Ollama instance (if you choose to enable AI features). No data is transmitted to external servers.

In-App Purchases

Purchase transactions for unlocking the full version of TradingEdge Journal are processed securely by Apple through the App Store. We do not have access to your payment information. Apple's privacy policy governs how your purchase data is handled.

Analytics and Tracking

We do not collect any analytics, usage statistics, crash reports, or personal information. We do not use any third-party tracking or advertising services.

Data Security

Since all your data remains on your Mac:

• You are responsible for backing up your data
• We recommend using Time Machine or other backup solutions
• Your data security depends on your Mac's security settings
